I've been abstaining from media for a few weeks, but even being exposed to rnz-lite has me rage muting and the stench of it still managesto permeate. Wtaf is going on at the moment???? We seem to be entering the shit media epoch and it feels like we are yet to peak. Much like the ice ages, I know there are small pockets of healthy media ecosystems surviving, but it's pretty brutal and fuckn ugly out there in the big wide world. Asteroid anyone? Also, the same journos who drum up these neg stories about women in these roles will also fill column inches in despair at the next local body election asking WhErE’s ThE dIvErSiTy?!
Not many sensible folx want to be elected members because a) the job is a bit shit and b) political journos are Cs.
And the horrifying assertion that "Guests at the Embassy cinema celebrated with wine and local beers" is given its own special paragraph, just to ensure that Whanau's recently alleged booziness is not overlooked.
